Manhattan University Athletic Hall of Fame
Mike Cohen served as Manhattan's Sports Information Director from 1968-1977. He became one of the athletic department's greatest spokesmen, in large part to being well-versed in all sports. The definition of a "public relations man," Cohen formed positive relationships for the college wherever he went and with whomever he touched, while helping give the "Jasper" name well-deserved recognition. Cohen also served as the head of sports information at NBC Sports, was a publicity director at Yonkers Raceway and operated his own public relations firm. The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association annually presents a "Good Guy" award in his honor.Â
