Dave Curran is one of the top coaches in the history of the baseball program, leading Manhattan to 265 wins over a 30-year period from 1950-79. He guided the Jaspers to the 1957 Metropolitan Championship and the Jaspers' first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Curran coached three players that would reach the Major Leagues. He also served as an assistant basketball coach, and was an assistant professor of physical education at Manhattan.
