Bucci graduated as the program’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,331 career points with 679 rebounds, and was named to several All-American teams. He averaged 16.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game as Manhattan posted a combined 48-31 (.608) record during his three years. Bucci was then drafted by the Buffalo Braves in the third round of the 1975 NBA Draft, before signing with the New Jersey Nets. He would help New Jersey to the 1976 ABA title, before going on to a 15-year career with Lega Basket Serie A in Italy. Following his playing career, Bucci served as a councilman and later supervisor of the town of Newburgh, NY.
