Edgar "Howie" Borck was one of the most versatile athletes in the proud history of the track & field program, competing in the 600 yards, 800 meters and 1600 meter relays. In addition to these events, he won the intercollegiate one-mile championship as senior. After his collegiate days, he coached track at both Cardinal Hayes and Mount St. Michael High School, before serving as the dean of discipline at John Philip Sousa High School.
