Jaci Rahey was a two-sport athlete for the Jaspers, playing softball and volleyball for the Green and White.
On the diamond, Rahey was a two-time First-Team All-MAAC selection and a first-team all-region selection in 2010. She finished her career second all-time in MAAC history in home runs and RBI and helped the Jaspers make the MAAC Tournament all four years she was in Riverdale.
As a senior, Rahey was a MAAC All-Tournament Team selection and finished the season, hitting .331 and over .400 in MAAC play.
Rahey had one of the best seasons on the diamond as a junior in program history. She hit 10 home runs and 12 doubles and hit over .400 while driving in 58 runs. In MAAC play, Rahey hit over .500 and drove in 26 runs.
On the volleyball court, she finished her career with 865 kills (2.28 per set), 118 blocks (0.31 per set), and 962 points (2.53 per set). Rahey and the Jaspers qualified for the 2010 MAAC Tournament, and as a junior and senior, she tallied over 300 kills per season.
Rahey was named a team captain in 2010 for the Jaspers on the volleyball court. In the MAAC Tournament in 2010, she hit .369 and averaged 3.7 kills per set.
Since graduation, Rahey has worked at Westwood One and ESPN, where she is now a Senior Digital and Radio Sales Planner. Jaci continued to play in a women’s fastpitch softball league even after graduating, and in 2015, she was honored by being inducted into her high school, DePaul Catholic’s Hall of Fame.
