As a sophomore, he helped Manhattan reach the MAAC Tournament championship game and was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team. Amandola was named team captain as a junior as he continued to rack up the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Then as a senior, he helped lead Manhattan to an undefeated MAAC season en route to the program's first MAAC title. Amandola was the MAAC Tournament's Most Valuable Player and again was named to the All-Tournament Team. He also was honored with the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year award. In the Jaspers' NCAA Tournament game against Georgetown, Amandola had 24 saves, earning him the Wall Award and Player of the Week honors for best individual performance in the Tournament. He was also selected to the USILA North/South All-Star Team, which honors the top seniors in the country. Amandola is the only men's lacrosse student-athlete to be named the team's Most Outstanding Performer Award three times at Manhattan.
