A native of Jamaica. Came to Manhattan College on a full scholarship with a winning reputation in Brooklyn. As a Jasper, she still holds four records: Indoors, 4x800 meter relay at the ECAC Championships with a time of 9:01.01; Outdoors, 4x800 meter relay at the ECAC Championships, 9:01.30; Sprint Medley at the Penn Relays with 3:57.21 and individual 800-meter at the ECAC Championships with a time of 2:09.82, an Olympic trial standard. Dahlia earned a number of prestigious All-East honors throughout her career. Individually, she took second in the 500-meter as a senior with a time of 1:12.24, the former school record. Outdoors, she took eighth place in 1995 in the 800. The 4x800 meter relay team took three fourth places, two indoor and one outdoor and a first place outdoors in 1993. She was also a Metropolitan champion runner throughout her career, indoors and out.
