Manhattan University Athletic Hall of Fame
John McGuirk was a three-year standout for the men's basketball program helping lead the Jaspers to a 38-15 mark. A three-time All-East performer, he averaged over 10 points per game when they still played a center jump after every basket. As a senior in 1936-37, he served as a team captain for a Manhattan team that went 14-4. The year prior, he helped the Jasper to a 17-2 mark. Following graduation he plalyed for the New York Knicks in 1946.
