Women's Soccer Tabbed Eighth in MAAC Preseason Poll

EDISON, N.J. – The Manhattan College women's soccer team has been tabbed eighth in the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' poll.

Head Coach Brendan Lawler returns Julia Nicholas, who finished last season tied for second in points on the squad, after finishing with nine total on four goals and one assist. Nicholas will be joined by forward Corrine Jackson, who tallied a goal and an assist last year.

The goal will once again be held down by Kim Mains, who turned in three clean sheets while stopping 98 shots during the 2021 season.

The 2021 season finished with the team sporting an even 7-7-1 record overall, with three victories coming in MAAC competition. Manhattan finished 2021 an impressive 5-2 away from Gaelic Park. 

The Jaspers' 2022 season will begin on Aug. 27 at Gaelic Park with a Saturday night match against Wagner at 7 p.m.
