RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's basketball program and interim head coach
RaShawn Stores have announced coaching staff additions.
Anthony Doran,
Josh Pittman, and
Jeremiah Aska have joined the Jaspers' staff for the 2022-23 season. Doran rejoins the Jaspers as an assistant coach, Pittman will serve as the director of basketball operations, and Aska will be the Jaspers' director of player personnel.
Doran most recently spent time at Mount St. Michael Academy coaching varsity boys basketball. Doran spent the 2021-22 season on staff with the Jaspers. The New York native has also coached at Our Savior Luthern School and with the New Jersey Playaz Basketball Club. Doran has also made stops at Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College), Hudson Catholic Regional, New Heights NYC, and the New York Lighting.
Pittman spent last season as an assistant coach at Berry College (Ga.). Pittman helped guide Berry to the Southern Athletic Association regular season title and a berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament. Before Berry, Pittman spent three seasons at Centre College (Ky.). At Centre, Pittman was part of the staff and program that posted a 50-12 record over three seasons and won two Southern Athletic Association regular season titles.
Aska played collegiately at the University of Hartford and was a member of the 2009 St. Raymond's team that won the City Championship. Aska pursued playing professionally overseas after graduation but shifted to training players. He has trained players that have played collegiately at numerous schools, including Kansas State, Minnesota, Marquette, Wichita State, Iowa, and UConn.
Manhattan opens its home schedule on Friday, Nov. 11, against Central Connecticut inside Draddy Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
