Riverdale, NY - Manhattan will open up the program's 26th season of intercollegiate soccer against two-time defending America East Regular Season Champion Hartford on Friday, August 19 at Gaelic Park with first kick slated for 7:00 pm.

The ReturnersManhattan returns 18 letterwinners from last year's team that advanced to the MAAC Finals for the first time in program history and that notched a school-record 21 points during league play.

Jenny Bitzer. A year ago, Modena ranked second in the MAAC and 28th nationally with 13 goals as her scoring haul was third in the school's single-season annals and the most by a Manahttan player since 1998. Bitzer, meanwhile, led the Jaspers' defense that allowed set a school-record by yielding a MAAC-low 14 goals on the year, including just three during league play, in fueling a school-record 11 shutouts.

Scouting The HawksHartford went 11-4-4 a year ago and return two of its top-three scorers in Aaliyah Ingram (8 goals, 4 assists) and Tori Tripp (5 goals, 3 assists). The Hawks also return Jessica Jurg, who posted a sparking 0.55 GAA in net.
The A-EastManhattan is 3-0 against the America East Conference since the start of the 2014 season, defeating Binghamton, Vermont and Hartford by identical 1-0 scores.
Monday Match-UpThe Jaspers will host LIU Brooklyn on Monday, August 22 at 7:00 pm while renewing a rivalry that has been dormant since the 2002 season.
