Modena Stands Out During Summer Action

MASSAPEQUA STARS RELEASE

PLAINVIEW, NY - Sophomore Erica Modena scored a goal to help lead the Massapequa Stars to an emphatic 5-0 win over Brentwood/Farmingdale to claim the Barbara Rodriguez Cup in the finals of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) at the Peter Collins Soccer Park.

With their victory, the Stars qualify for the National Championship Series with regional play to be contested from June 26-30 in Barboursville, WV. 

Modena was a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie Team selection in 2013, scoring six goals before missing the bulk of last season due to injury.
