 Manhattan (6-3-1; 2-0-1 MAAC) returns home to host Saint Peter's (2-9-0; 0-4-0 MAAC) on Wednesday, October 7 at 7:00 pm before traveling to Niagara (6-3-2; 4-0-0 MAAC) on Saturday, October 10 at 1:00 pm. Head Coach Brendan Lawler recently sat down with the Jasper Sports Network (JSN) in the Marro Broadcast Studio to discuss the team's upcoming matches.


Historical
Manhattan earned a 1-1 draw at perennial league power Fairfield while earning the first point in program history when playing the Stags in Connecticut. Prevoiusly, the Jaspers had lost all 12 match-ups between the teams. 

Modena Keeps Rolling
Junior Erica Modena (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) continued her impressive season with this goal at Fairfield. Modena ranks third in the MAAC with eight goals (29th NCAA) and 16 points (75th NCAA).

Copping Making Her Mark
Freshman Nicole Copping (Blue Point, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) notched her second assist on the aforementioned Modena goal and is now tied for third on the team with four points.

Skonieczny Stands Tall Among Nation's Best
Senior Kristen Skonieczny (Lagrangeville, NY / Arlington) leads the MAAC and ranks among the national leaders in save percentage (.897; 9th NCAA) and GAA (0.52; 21st NCAA). Additionally, she is third in the circuit with four shutouts and seventh with 4.38 saves each time out.

In The Record Books
Skonieczy has 19 career wins and with three more would match the all-time Jasper record held by Jeanne Marie Gilbert

Manhattan-Saint Peter's Notes
* Last year, Manhattan defeated Saint Peter's by a 4-2 count in the season finale.
* The Jaspers have won 17-straight in the teams' series - dating back to the 1998 season - and hold a 21-3 advantage in the all-time series, including going 12-1 at home.
* Last year, junior Lizzy Carlson (Auburn, MA / Auburn), junior Tara Teal (Delmar, NY / Bethlehem) and sophomore Dylan Burns (Manchester, CT / Manchester) all notched goals against the Peacocks.

Manhattan-Niagara Notes
* The teams tied 1-1 last year in Niagara University.
* Niagara lead the all-time series by a 14-5-4 count, including going 7-3-2 at home.
* Skonieczny is averaging 9.0 saves each time out over two match-ups with the Purple Eagles.
