Riverdale, NY – Fresh off of clinching a MAAC Tournament berth, Manhattan (9-3-2; 5-0-2 MAAC) returns to action with a pair of matches at league leader Monmouth (11-2-2; 7-1-0 MAAC) at 7:00 pm and Marist (6-9-1; 5-2 MAAC) at 7:00 pm. The contest with the Hawks will be broadcast live through
ESPN3 while Saturday's tilt can be watched via the
Jasper Sports Network (JSN). Junior
Jenny Bitzer joined the
JSN in the Marro Broadcast Studio to discuss the team's recent success and preview the week ahead.
The Best Around* Manhattan has registered a school-record 17 points, bettering the previous mark of 16 set by the 1998 squad, thanks in part to a defense that has yielded just one goal through seven league games.
* The Jaspers current seven-match unbeaten streak is the longest in the program's 25 seasons of intercollegiate women's soccer.
* Skonieczny matched the program record for shutouts with her 16th career clean sheet against Rider, just one match after she equaled the career record for wins with number 22 at Quinnipiac.
Rider Recap* Manhattan clinched a playoff berth for just the second time in school history (1998) and will be making their its MAAC Championships appearance, with the last four berths coming in years when all teams qualified.
* Skonieczny made two saves in notching shutout number eight this season, including her fourth in a row.

Among The National Leaders* Skonieczny leads the MAAC and ranks fourth nationally with a .926 save percentage and is fifth in the NCAA ranks with a 0.35 GAA.
* Junior
Erica Modena is second in the MAAC and 31st nationally with 10 goals and is tied for second in the league and 65th in the nation with 21 points.
* Freshman
Nicole Copping is second in the MAAC and 56th nationally with six assists.
RPIMonmouth is first in the MAAC with a RPI of 111 while Manhattan is second at 126.
Monmouth Notes* First place Monmouth is 27-2-3 against MAAC compeition, including 14-1 on the Great Lawn, since joining the league for the 2013 season.* The Hawks hold a 4-0 advantage over the Jaspers in the all-time series, including squeaking out a 2-1 overtime victory last season. Washuk scored the lone goal for Manhattan.
* Skonieczny made a career-high 12 saves in defeat.* DYK? USWNT member Christie Rampone, who has won three Olympic Golds and two World Cup titles, played against the Jaspers in the teams' first two meetings in 1994 and 1996.
Marist Notes
* Manhattan defeated Marist 2-1 a year ago thanks to a Washuk goal and four saves by Skonieczny.
* The victory snapped a six-match losing streak to the Red Foxes.
* Marist leads the all-time series by a 13-5-3 count, including posting an 8-2 mark at home.
