Alicia DeFino was honored as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her fine play this weekend in Buffalo when her team played Niagara and Canisius.
DeFino earned her third shutout of the season this weekend against Canisius. She recorded her first shutout against St. Peter's in a Manhattan 1-0 win. She is currently ranked second in the MAAC in saves with 89, and owns a 1.55 goals against average.
DeFino has played in 15 out of the 16 games the Lady J's have played, accumulating 1042:30 minutes of play. Manhattan's overall record is currently 2-13-1 and 2-4-1 in MAAC play.
The Lady Jaspers play their last two games at Gaelic Park this weekend starting on Friday, October 29 against Marist at 3 p.m. and again on Sunday, October 31 against Siena at 10 a.m.
