Scott Adds Six For Next Year

Riverdale, NY - Manhattan Men's Soccer Head Coach Jorden Scott has announced the addition of six freshmen student-athletes for next year.

Scott on the incoming class: "As we continue to build this new squad we are looking for players who can have an immediate impact in both training and games and these six players offer us that. They bring a diverse approach to the game that will add immediate competition for places as we look to shape this new team and build for the future. We are excited to see them in August and look forward to adding to this class in the coming months to ensure we are prepared for another exciting fall."

Harry Bark (Auckland, New Zealand / Westlake Boys / Scots College) (5-9/160)
* Played his prep soccer at Westlake Boys High School and at the Wellington Phoenix Football Academy.
 
Bark

* Member of the U-17 New Zealand squad that participated in the 2019 World Cup.
* Also helped lead New Zealand to the 2018 U17 OFC World Cup Qualifier Championship.

Ronan O'Brien (West Hartford, CT / Conard) (5-9/150)
* Played his club soccer for the Oakwood Soccer Club in the MLS Next Academy, which is currently the top league in the nation.
 
OBrien

* Helped his team win the Regionals Development Academy Cup group, finishing with an 8-1-1 record.
* Scored a goal in the decisive game against Red Bulls at a showcase, and was invited to play in two friendly games with the Ireland National Team.

Yasin Choukri (Wilton, CT / Wilton) (5-10/165)
* Plays for Beachside Academy in the Development Academy League, and scored seven goals with an assist as a senior, while also registering 11 goals and four assists in 10 friendlies.

* In the 2019-20 season, scored 10 goals in 10 games for the Dolphins, and was named as one of the top-50 uncommitted juniors by the New England Soccer Journal.
* Recognized as the top scorer in the USSDA Northeast Division as a U-15 during the 2017-2018 season, finishing with 24 goals in 28 games.

Karl Gelbjerg (Châtel-Saint-Denis, Switzerland / Haut-Lac International Bilingual School) (5-9/180)
* Played club soccer for Lausanne Sport and Team Riviera Chablais, participating in tournaments in France, Lithuania and Spain.

* Sports Captain at Haut-Lac International.

Omar Torres (Bayside, NY / Cardozo) (5-8/150)
* Played for New York City FC and was as a part of their academy from U-14 to U-19.

* Selected to play in the Generation Adidas Elite Soccer program, that brings together top MLS Academy Players.
* During his gap year, suited up for Almunecar City Juvenil under Rafael Montero, and played on their first team C.D. Almunecar City Senior.

Sean Paulo Salgueiro (Little Neck, NY / St. Francis Prep) (5-10, 160)
* Played his prep ball for St. Francis Prep, helping the Terriers to the 2020 CHSSA Championship en route to earning MVP honors.

* At the club level, played for the Met Oval Academy, which is part of MLS Next Academy, and suited up for the New York Contour United in the UPSL.
* Also played for the Westchester and New York Cosmos Developmental Academies.
