Philip Granitto is from his hometown of Yorktown Heights, NY. He is the son of Philip and Cathy Granitto. His sister, Kathleen attends Stony Brook University. His brothers, Tony and Joey are 16 and 14 years old. Phillip attended Yorktown High School where he played baseball for one year as the outfield. While at Yorktown High School he was inducted into the National Honors Society, awarded a  Scholar-Athlete and the Presidential Scholarship. Philip is in the class of 2023 majoring in civil engineering. He was attracted to Manhattan College for its alumni network, strong engineering program and proximity to home. His father, Philip Granitto, graduated from Manhattan College in 1989. His local news coverage can be found in the Lo-Hud. Philip was an active member in his community coaching recreational basketball from 2016 to 2019, organized and managed basketball games for the local basketball league from 2015 to 2019, took part in environmental projects in Yorktown from 2018 to 2019, and helped renovate the local church in 2018.
