Brian Weir is from Yorktown Heights, NY. He is the son of Tim and Mary Weir. His sister, Elisabeth Weir attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He attended Yorktown High School where he played soccer for 2 years as a defender and earned three letters. Brian was awarded three athletic honors: New York State Scholar-Athlete and section champion and a regional finalist for soccer. He was also awarded for his academics such as an induction into the National Honor Society and the Presidential Scholarship. Brian is in the class of 2023 majoring in chemical engineering with aspirations to work for a big food company. His outside interests are eating lots of food, watching college basketball, and playing sports. Brian was attracted to Manhattan College for its close-knit community, alumni network, and well-known engineering program. His local news coverage can be found in the LoHud, Fios 1 and News 12. Brian takes action in his community as a volunteer at a church in his town, a volunteer for Relay for Life, has volunteered over 100 hours at the Hospital for Special surgery and took part in the Big Buddy Program.
