COLLEGE STATION, TX– The Manhattan Jaspers Men's Basketball team (3-3) fell to the Aggies of Texas A&M (4-2) by a score of 109-68 inside Reed Arena on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jaspers look to build off their Mississippi Valley State victory nearly one week ago, following the conclusion of the Hawaiian excursion.
- Opening the scoring for the Green and White was Fraser Roxburgh, who found an opening for the first two points of the day.
- From the near corner, just two possessions later, was Devin Dinkins, who found Marko Ljubicic for a tying triple just two minutes into the game.
- Manhattan found its groove with a 6-0 run highlighted by a Jaden Winston three-pointer and followed by a turnover by the Aggies to propel Dinkins to pull his team within one.
- After Terrance Jones' successful second-chance pull-up jumper, it was Dinkins again who moved the Jaspers ahead of the Aggies off a second-chance three-pointer.
- Down the stretch of the first half, Roxburgh concluded the half with a crucial field goal to shrink Texas A&M's lead.
- Out of the locker room on a mission were the Jaspers, who put together back-to-back three-pointers from Terrance Jones, before Ljubicic netted his second of the game.
- Down the stretch, freshman guard Quron Elliott added his first bucket of the trip before Anthony Isaac joined the scoring with back-to-back driving layups.
