RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan is getting ready to face Rider this Wednesday in Lawrenceville, N.J. And then host Iona at home on Saturday in Riverdale, N.Y.
This will be the second time the Jaspers face the Broncs, the first time being at home in
Draddy Gymnasium. The last time they faced off Rider won in a 3-1 match, with Manhattan taking the first set and Rider taking the later.
Manhattan will be coming into Lawrenceville off a loss against Quinnipiac last weekend losing 3-0. Last time they faced off the Bobcats were able to sweep the Jaspers in a three set game. However, the Jaspers will be looking to have the same momentum they had the last time they faced Rider to hopefully come out with the win. Leading Manhattans offense has been Sarah
Emmons, performing well in kills, assists, and digs the past few matches.
Camila Gomez is leading the team in terms of kills the past few games, with last Sunday's game against Quinnipiac scoring 14 kills.
Rider will be coming into the match off of a four game losing streak. The last time Rider won was against Manhattan on September 25th. However, in those four games rider was only swept once.
Later in the week the Jaspers will be home again for one game to host Iona. This will be Manhattans first time facing Iona since October 9th of last season, which ended in a 3-1 victory for Iona. Iona has won 7 of their last 8 games with their last game being against
Fairfield ending with a 3-0 loss.
