EDISON, NJ - In recognition of her efforts throughout the 2025 season, Manhattan University women's volleyball freshman
Hanna Kaczynska has been selected to the All-MAAC Rookie Team, announced by the conference on Thursday morning.
The freshman outside hitter proved to be a backbone for the Jaspers in her freshman season, starting in all of the Green and White's 28 matches. Offensively, the Warsaw, Poland native racked up 299 kills and 17 service aces. Her season-high of 24 kills in a five set thriller against Saint Peter's on October 24 marked the sole 20+ kill night of her young career.
Defensively, she tallied 88 blocks with ten of those coming in the solo variety. Able to contribute with seven blocks in a match on two occasions, against both Rider and Marist inside Draddy Gymnasium, Kaczynska made her presence known as a versatile player. Her 88 also contributed to the 259 total the Jaspers were able to put together throughout the season, a new program record dating back to when team blocks began being tracked in 2014.
"We are so proud of Hanna for making the All-Rookie Team. Since the first day when she stepped on the court, we knew she would be a difference maker for our team. We worked a lot on her swing, approach, and blocking technique this season, and the improvement is clear. I am confident that one day, she will be a contender for most valuable player in our conference," commented Head Coach
Mauro Miletic.
