Six Jaspers Earn MAAC Honors

Edison, NJ - Senior Jake Knop (Portland, ME / Portland) and junior Sam Franco (Bardonia, NY / Clarkstown South) were each tabbed to the All-MAAC First Team to lead a contingent of six Jaspers that earned league recognition

Senior Matt Padre (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central), classmate Will Trochiano (Morganville, NJ / Marlboro) and junior Nick Cimillo (Airmont, NY / Suffern) all garnered All-MAAC Second Team honors, while freshman Trevor Santos (Nutley, NJ / Nutley) was tabbed to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

All-MAAC First Team: Jake Knop (3B)
* Hitting .288 with five doubles, six home runs, 22 RBI and a .510 slugging percentage.
 
All-MAAC First Team: Sam Franco (OF)
* Hitting .347 with seven doubles, nine home runs and 22 RBI with a .705 slugging percentage.
 
All-MAAC Second Team: Matt Padre (DH)
* Hitting .277 with three doubles, 10 RBI and a MAAC-best 31 walks en route to posting a .452 OBP 
 
All-MAAC Second Team: Will Trochiano (SS)
* Hitting .310 with five doubles, four home runs, 17 RBI and a .506 slugging percentage.
 
All-MAAC Second Team: Nick Cimillo (C)
* Hitting .297 with six doubles, six home runs, 19 RBI and a .408 OBP. 
 
MAAC All-Rookie Team: Trevor Santos (Nutley, NJ / Nutley)
* Hitting .265 with five doubles, a triple and 15 RBI.
