Riverdale, NY - Manhattan Women's Soccer Head Coach Brendan Lawler has announced the addition of five student-athletes for next season.
Lawler on the Incoming Class:
Reina Callahan (Okinawa City, Japan / Kadena) – Midfield / Defense
Club Team: Ryukyu Deigos
Lawler On Callahan:
"Reina is another versatile player that will help us in the attack no matter where she plays. She is a quick, technical player that wants to get forward to help create goal-scoring chances."
Chloe Davis (Salado, TX / Salado) - Defense
Club Team: Austin Sting ECNL
Lawler On Davis:
"Chloe is a technical and physical defender, who is as likely to start the attack as a deep lying playmaker as she is to break up the opponent's. This will help her fit right in with her like-minded teammates."
Madison Eisele (Lake Hopatcong, NJ / Jefferson) - Midfield
Club Team: World Class FC ECNL
Lawler On Eisele:
"Madison is a versatile player that can make an impact in all four positions. She brings an excellent balance of physicality, technical execution and tactical awareness to her play."
Kelly Harris (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee) - Midfield
Club Team: World Class FC ECNL
Lawler On Harris:
" Kelly is a great combination of skill and grit in the midfield. Her willingness to run through a wall to win the ball and then be composed when she wins is what we need."
Ianah Mackey (Albany, NY / Colonie) - Defense
Club Team: Albany Alleycats
Lawler On Mackey:
"Ianah can be a shutdown defender in many different ways, from her 1v1 ability to her ability to cut out penetrating passes. Through both her play and leadership, she will be an important presence."
