PRINCETON, NJ – After rain postponed most of Saturday's events, the Manhattan College men's and women's track & field teams had a busy Sunday at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships.  The Jasper men concluded the competition at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium with 23 points to place 14th in the team standings.  The women's squad, meanwhile, finished in a tie for 38th place after earning six points.

Hayden Clarke (Townsville, Australia), who won the IC4A indoor title in the long jump, took third in the outdoor meet with a leap of 7.32 meters (24 feet, ¼ inch).  Manhattan also picked up six points in the men's discus, as Ire Bozovicar (Potoki, Slovenia) grabbed fifth place with a mark of 51.05 m (167'6) and Eric Waugh (Wheatley Heights, NY) ended up seventh with a 49.90 m (163'8) effort.  John Dove (Monroe, NY), meanwhile, posted a time of 3:52.20 to place ninth in the 1500 meters.

With 33 points, Manhattan finished one point behind Maryland-Eastern Shore for 13th place and one point ahead of 15th-place Columbia.  LIU Brooklyn won the IC4A team title with 52 points.

On the women's side, Marisa Robbins (Goshen, NY) added one point to Manhattan's team total with an eighth-place finish in the pole vault.  She cleared 3.70 m (12'1½).  Charlene Pohl (Bisingen, Germany) and Ellinor Persson (Taby, Sweden), meanwhile, went 10-11 in the long jump.  Pohl got out to a distance of 5.57 m (18'3¼), while Persson's best leap was 5.54 m (18'2¼).

The Jaspers tallied six points in the ECAC Championships, which put them in a tie with Yale.  Cornell collected 74 points to capture the ECAC team crown.

Those Jaspers that have qualified will return to action at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Lexington, KY, from May 25-27.  Only the top 48 performers in the region are selected in each event.
