MAHWAH, NJ – The Manhattan Men's and Women's Track and Field teams took part in the Ramapo College Track and Field Invitational on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the Men's Triple Jump, sophomore Jayce Ward posted 13.81m for a fourth-place finish in the respective event to open the invitational.
- Senior Bella Cannizzo posted a second-place finish in the Women's 5000m for a time of 18:36.64.
- In the Women's 1500m race, freshman Paula Pallares posted an eighth-place finish with a time logged of 5:12.29.
- In the Men's 1500m, three Jaspers landed in the top 15, with sophomore Joshua Mingoia pacing the Green and White with a third-place finish for a time of 4:05.96. Behind Mingoia was freshman Brody Cox, with a time of 4:09.57 and a seventh-place result. Finally, senior Dean Mayo posted an 11th-place finish with a time of 4:15.57.
- In the Men's 400m, a pair of Jaspers landed in the top ten, with freshman Sebastian Perez landing in the sixth spot with a time of 50.60. Landing in ninth place was junior Malik Coleman, with a marker of 51.84.
- In the Women's 800m, another two Jaspers provided a pair of top ten finishes, with senior Elaina Batista recording a 2:31.46 time, for eighth place. Sophomore Ashley Avena logged a 2:35.23.
- In the Women's Javelin Throw, freshman Skye Whitson commanded the field and claimed victory with 39.44m, nearly 3.1m farther than the second-place finisher in Adelphi's Gabrielle Stafford.
- In the Men's Javelin Throw, freshman Cade Palmer posted a second-place finish with 52.02m.
- In the Men's Shot Put, senior Myron Corpuz logged 13.98m for a second-place finish in the event.
- In the Women's Hammer Throw, sophomore Thea Dahl claimed second place with a distance of 56.70m. Six slots below was freshman Maddie Stiefel, with a mark of 43.97m.
- In the Men's Hammer Throw, senior Myron Corpuz was one of two runners who posted 50+m, with a second-place finish and distance of 55.59m. Finishing in sixth was sophomore Daniel McWilliams with a 46.37m tally.
- In the Men's Discus, senior Myron Corpuz logged a fourth-place finish and a distance of 40.34m.
- Penultimately, in the Women's Triple Jump, freshman Alana Myke registered a fourth-place finish of 9.92m.
- Finally, in the Men's Triple Jump event, Jayce Ward continued his dominant performance in the field, with a fourth-place finish and a distance of 13.81m.

The Green and White continue their Outdoor Season on Friday, April 3, when the Jaspers compete in the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on Randalls Island from Icahn Stadium.
