RIVERDALE, NY – Manhattan Women's Track and Field will be represented by sophomore thrower Thea Dahl in the 2026 NCAA East Regional First Round from Lexington on Wednesday.
Coming off a strong performance at the 2026 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship just two weeks ago, Dahl was tabbed as the gold medal winner in the Women's Hammer Throw event with a mark of 54.73m, beating the next highest total by nearly six meters.
Throughout the season, the Haugesund, Norway native Dahl continued to shine, finishing first in the IC4A-ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with 58.51m and claiming first place during the weekend of April 18-19.
She posted numerous top-five finishes, including a second-place finish in the Mets Indoor Championships on January 30 during indoor season, with a distance of 16.53m in the Women's Weight Throw.
Additionally, Dahl shone in the Women's Weight Throw at the 2026 TCNJ Lions Indoor Invite at the Army Track and Field Center in Manhattan, where she logged a 16.61m distance, over two meters ahead of the second-place finisher.
Dahl will chase a top-12 finish in the respective event, then embark on its next journey to the NCAA Outdoor Championships final site in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13 at historic Hayward Field.
