Fernandez Paces Jaspers as Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Conclude Indoor Season at MAAC Championships

NEW YORK, NY – The Manhattan Men's and Women's Track and Field teams took part in the 2026 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from inside The Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

DAY ONE

  • In the Women's 60 Meter Dash, three Jaspers landed in the top ten with Camryn Daley pacing the field tied for sixth with a 7.83, but lost out to Rider's Taylor Johnson by .05 of a second to settle for a seventh-place finish.
  • Tranira Booker and Oliviah Hussey took home ninth and tenth place with times of 7.84 and 7.85, respectively.
  • In the Women's 200 Meter Dash, Hussey posted a third-place finish with a time of 24.63.
  • Ellianne Fernandez supplied the Green and White with another top-five finish in the Women's 400 Meter Dash, with a time of 57.05 and a spot in third place.
  • In the Women's 60 Meter Hurdles, senior Isabella Sing put together an 8.97 time to finish fifth in the event.
  • Sing continued to lead the Green and White with a second-place finish and eight points in the Women's Long Jump, for a 5.81m mark.
  • In the Women's Weight Throw, Thea Dahl netted another eight points for Manhattan and 17.02m, for second place.
  • On the men's side, senior Ivan Lyovchenko grabbed another four points to open the tournament with a fifth-place finish in the Men's High Jump with 1.96m.
  • In the Men's Long Jump, senior Alex Bilello captured six points for the Jaspers with a distance of 6.98m. Jordan Hairston finished sixth with three points of his own in the same event and a distance of 6.72m.

DAY TWO

  • In the Women's 200 Meter Dash, Oliviah Hussey started Day Two with eight points and a time of 24.47 to finish the event in second place.
  • In the Women's 400 Meter Dash, sophomore Ellianne Fernandez supplied the Green and White with another six points and a time of 56.39 for a third-place mark.
  • The foursome of Fernandez, Hussey, SaRae Kennard, and Kayla Darius added eight points and a time of 3:50.55 in the Women's 4 x 400 Meter Relay event.
  • In the Men's Shot Put event, junior Myron Corpuz netted two points and a distance of 14.15m for a seventh-place finish.

That enthusiasm helped our athletes achieve incredible personal bests and podium finishes. We are just starting to build this program, but seeing the early results of everyone's hard work lets us know that we're heading in the right direction."

UP NEXT

The Green and White open its Outdoor Season from the Sunshine State on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, when the Jaspers take part in the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
