Riverdale, NY – The annual “Battle of the Bronx” Men's Basketball match-up between Manhattan and Fordham is set for Saturday, December 10 at 7:00 pm.
"The Battle of the Bronx" is one of the oldest and most prestigious rivalries in all of college basketball. Since first meeting in the 1911-1912 season, the "Battle of the Bronx" annually pits the two schools that are seperated by just under four miles with the Jaspers holding a 56-52 advantage in the all-time series.
Students should arrive early to pick up their free Under Armour “Battle of the Bronx” t-shirts as supplies are limited.
At halftime, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a year's supply of wings from Buffalo Wild Wings with a made half-court shot.

Following the game, the John "Doc" Johnson MVP award will be presented to the top individual performer. Johnson, affectionately known as Doc, began working at Manhattan College in 1947 until his retirement in 2003. He was elected to the Manhattan College Hall of Fame in 1982 and in 1990, Johnson received the Distinguished Service Award by the Manhattan College physical education department.
