Lisa Daley didn't run in high school.  She didn't begin competitive track & field until she enrolled at Bronx Community College.  But she had natural ability, which is how she became one of the greatest female sprinters in Manhattan College history.

During her time in Riverdale, she was a part of 10 school records—including three individual marks—and she bettered her own standard on numerous occasions.  Four of those records are still standing.

Her first school record was a 40.30-second clocking in the 300 meters during her junior campaign.  Daley was also a member of the sprint medley relay squad that set a record of 4:00.42 at the 1992 Princeton Relays.

At the 1992 ECAC Indoor Championships in Syracuse, Daley was a part of the distance medley relay team that won Manhattan's first-ever ECAC relay title.  The quartet's time of 11:50.73 established a school record that still stands.  Daley then went on to set the individual indoor 400-meter record, only to break it at the following year's ECAC Indoor Championships.  She achieved the same feat at the ECAC Outdoor Championships, setting a school record in the 400 as a junior before breaking it as a senior.

Daley eventually became a New York City public interest lawyer, but she still wasn't done running.  She has found incredible success at the master's level, winning numerous National Championships and setting an American master's record in the 400 meter hurdles.  Daley has won a total of 12 medals at the World Masters Championships since 2005.

Because of those exploits, as well as her All-America days at Bronx Community College, Daley was elected to the NJCAA Track & Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014.  She received the same honor from Bronx Community College in 1998.

In a career spanning nearly three decades, Lisa Daley, Class of 1993, spent just two years wearing a Jaspers singlet.  Yet she left an indelible mark on the women's track & field program.  One that earned her a place in the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame.
