Maggie Pfeifer was named the MAAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, marking the first time Pfeifer has received the award. Pfeifer is also the first Lady Jasper this season to receive the award.
Pfeifer, a 2003 MAAC First-Team selection, and the 2004 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, recorded 54 kills in 14 games this week for a .347 hitting percentage. Pfeifer also totaled 11 blocks and three service aces in the four matches that Manhattan played this past week. For the season, Pfeifer ranks second in the MAAC in hitting percentage (.303) and is sixth in the conference in kills per game (3.69).
Manhattan has won two of its last three matches and now has a record of 4-11. The Lady Jaspers return to the court on Tuesday, September 28th at 6:00 p.m. when they will take on Fordham at Draddy Gymnasium.
