CLICK HERE FOR THE ARTICLE This past season, Gonzalez and the Jaspers had one of the most successful seasons in school history, capturing their second straight MAAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, and advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament after a 75-60 First Round victory over fifth-seeded Florida. Manhattan concluded the season with a 25-6 overall record and a 16-2 MAAC slate, breaking the MAAC record for conference wins in a season. Gonzalez received numerous accolades following the season, being named NABC District 2, USBWA, and NYBCA Division I Coach of the Year as well as receiving Metropolitan Coach of the Year recognition for the second straight year, a feat that had not been accomplished in over 25 years.
