RIVERDALE, NY - Manhattan Women's Volleyball Head Coach Brooke Alverson has announced five additions to the Jaspers program ahead of the 2026 season on Wednesday afternoon. These names include

Margaret O'Brien, and
Julia Pfleger.
Ori Briger - Setter - Tel Aviv, Israel
Prior to Manhattan: One season at Barton Community College ... Averaged 5.67 assists per set, for a total of 749 on the year ... Also accumulated 293 digs and 65 aces ... Played in World Maccabiah Games, showcasing the best Jewish athletes.
Why Briger Chose Manhattan: "The culture, it looks like everybody's together, care about each other, and treat each other like family, which is really important to me."

Kaitlyn Doyle - Defensive Specialist/Libero - Massapequa Park, NY
Prior to College: Played two seasons at St. Anthony's High School ... Tallied over 500 kills, 500 digs, and 100 aces ... Two-time All-Catholic League and All-Academic selection ... Played senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL ... There, she tacked on more than 100 kills, digs, and aces ... Made her way onto the 2025 AVCA All-America Watch List ... Competed on IMG Ascenders Elite 18-1, the country's highest ranked club volleyball team ... Competed in the summers at USA Volleyball Nationals from 2022-2026.

Karsyn Harris - Outside Hitter - Gilbert, AZ
Prior to College: Played three seasons of varsity volleyball at Hamilton High School ... Also played for the East Valley Juniors Volleyball Club.
Why Harris Chose Manhattan: "I loved the location, the campus, and everyone I came across was so nice."

Margaret O'Brien - Outside Hitter - Rockford, IL
Prior to College: Played on the varsity squad at Guilford High School ... In her best season, she finished with 228 kills (2nd in conference), 37 aces (4th in conference), while also finishing eighth in digs ... Earned three all-conference selections, was named Team MVP, and won a conference championship with her team in her senior season.

Prior to College: Played three seasons of varsity volleyball at Chichester High School ... Team won league championship in every season she played ... Selected three times as a PIAA D1 district qualifier ... Two-time All-Delco Honorable Mention ... Honor Roll all four years.
Why Pfleger Chose Manhattan: "I chose Manhattan because it's a good school for civil engineering, and I fell in love with the campus with a small community and big opportunities."
