Anthony Pacciarelli Signs with Men’s Basketball for 2026-27 Season

RIVERDALE, N.Y. — Manhattan Men's Basketball Head Coach John Gallagher has announced the addition of sophomore guard Anthony Pacciarelli on Tuesday morning.

"Anthony gives us a great level of shooting, physical toughness, and all-out effort," described Gallagher.

Pacciarelli previously played for the Colts of SUNY Orange on the JUCO circuit in Region XV and led all of Division II in scoring on the year.

Throughout the campaign, Pacciarelli dazzled by leading the nation in total points with 875. Named First Team All-Region, Mid-Hudson Conference Male Athlete of the Week four times, Mid-Hudson Conference First Team All-Conference, Mid-Hudson Conference Most Valuable Player, Region XC First Team All-Region, Region XV Player of the Year, Region XV Tournament Most Valuable Player, and NJCAA Division II National Championships All-Tournament Team.

During his freshman campaign, Pacciarelli logged 26.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, and scored a career-high 50 points against Ulster on February 10, 2026. He summed up his first collegiate campaign by being named an NJCAA Division II First Team All-American.

"We look forward to him building on a successful season where he led his team to the Junior College National Tournament and was recognized as a First Team All-American."

Playing in the postseason for the Colts, the 6-5 winger posted 33 points in the first-round victory over Prince George's, to accrue 802 points on the year and beyond, while breaking the program's single-season scoring record. Finally, his 99 three-pointers were tied for second most in program history.

Through 33 games played for SUNY Orange, Pacciarelli started in 32, logging an average of 33.4 minutes on the floor, converted 50.2 percent from the floor, and netted a 40.9 percent clip from distance.

Additionally, on the defensive side, Pacciarelli added 213 rebounds to his ledger, 6.5 per game, assisted on 79 buckets, 2.4 per game, and posted 52 steals overall.

The Monroe, NY native attended St. Joseph's Regional High School in Montvale, NJ, where he played on the Boys' Varsity Basketball team for three seasons. As a senior, Pacciarelli averaged 18.0 points per game, eight rebounds per game, and four assists per game.

Overall, Pacciarelli finished his time on the Varsity Boys' program with 79 games played, 237 made baskets, 107 made triples, 319 rebounds, 10 blocks, 56 steals, and 921 career points.
