TARRYTOWN, NY – Manhattan Jaspers Men's Basketball's Jaden Winston was one of nine regional student-athletes selected to the 2026 All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Honorable Mention list, per release on Wednesday.
Winston, the South Laurel, MD native continues to rack the accolades after a successful third year in Riverdale, while pacing the Green and White in numerous categories throughout the campaign.
This season, Winston posted his 1,000th career point to become the 40th Jasper in program history to eclipse the respective threshold by nearly doubling his output with 474 points and counting, while averaging 15.3 points per game heading into the postseason.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Maryland product has started all 31 games, averaging 34.7 minutes per game. Winston is shooting at a career-high 45.6 percent clip from the floor, while logging a career-high 35.7 percent from distance.
From the charity stripe, Winston's percentage has increased nearly eight points year-over-year to sit at an 82.2 clip. Finally, Winston's 80 steals were a new single-season record that was broken with No. 77 on Sunday, March 1, against Iona.
Against USC in the second game of the season, Winston posted a career-high 29 points on nine-of-14 from the floor, while converting a perfect eight-of-eight from the free-throw line. When the calendar turned to January, Winston supplied the Green and White with a new career high of 10 field goals made to stun the Quinnipiac Bobcats inside Draddy Gymnasium.
The other selections around the All-Met Basketball Writers Honorable Mention selections were: David Bolden, Ari Fulton, and Sebastian Robinson from NJIT. Ryan Curry from Army-West Point. Malachi Davis from LIU. Oziyah Sellers from St. John's. Andrej Shoshkikj from Stony Brook, and AJ Staton-McCray from Seton Hall.
Winston finished the season ranked seventh among players within the MAAC, averaging 15.3 points per game. From the free-throw line, he sat 11th with an 82.2 percent clip. Winston also finished his junior season tied for eighth in the league with Marist's Justin Menard, averaging 3.9 assists per game. Winston finished with 122 on the year.
In Assist/Turnover Ratio, Jaden Winston finished in a four-way tie for fifth in the MAAC with Saint Peter's Bryce Eaton, Iona's Lamin Sabally, and Siena's Justice Shoats, with a 1.7. Leading to his league high 80 steals and counting, Winston finished as the conference's leader, averaging 2.6 steals per game, and a conference high 83. Nationally, Winston finishes 2025-26 ranked seventh in Division I.
Finally, Winston's 2.59 steals per game nationally ranks tied for sixth, with Wright State's TJ Burch and Lindenwood's Dontrez Williams.
