LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – The Manhattan Jaspers Men's Golf team concluded their 2025-26 season at the MAAC Men's Golf Championships from Disney Magnolia's Course after a three-day, three-round event concluding on Thursday afternoon.
The final invitational also marked the final event as a collegiate student-athlete for Senior Dimitri Mihelakos.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jaspers opened their final tournament of the year dazzling on the front nine, with a combined six birdies.
- Finishing two under on the front end was Akshay Mandadapu, who sank his first birdie on the seventh hole and settled for par on eight of the first nine holes overall.
- Aidan Talent supplied a phenomenal front side of the first round with another two birdies for the Green and White.
- On the back side in the first round from Disney, Mandadapu posted another two birdies and sank par on seven of the nine without settling for a single bogey.
- Sophomore Louis Vandeputte added another two birdies to the Jaspers' tab at the 10th and 13th holes, respectively.
- On the second day, the Jaspers hit a few speed bumps, but continued to perform exceptionally with 15 birdies overall, and double-digits coming in the back-nine.
- All-MAAC Second Team selection Cabell Faulkner notched five birdies throughout the second round, highlighted by an 18th hole birdie on the Par Four.
- In the third round, Aidan Talent bounced back after opening both the front and back nine with a par and bogey the same way. Talent, down the stretch on both sides, finished with six straight pars, while sinking an eighth hole birdie.
- After a top ten individual performance for Mandadapu, he was tabbed to the All-MAAC Championship Team for the 2026 tournament.
