SEEKONK, MA – The Manhattan Jaspers Men's Golf program competed in the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate at Ledgemont Country Club on Sunday and Monday in a three-round tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Green and White opened the first day of their stint in this year's Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate with a commanding performance from Robert Leo Arnorsson, who posted consistent pars to open his Saturday.
- On the front nine, Arnorsson logged a pair of birdies on the first and ninth holes, before securing par on seven of the next nine on the backside to cruise into the second round feeling confident.
- During the second round on Saturday, Arnorsson posted a bogey-free round, landing six birdies throughout and logging six under par for a 65.
- On Sunday, Arnorsson continued to cruise with another five birdies, posting one bogey on the front nine and another five pars on the backside.
- The Jaspers continued to prove they belonged, with Aidan Talent giving the Green and White another boost, having recorded two birdies on the first five holes to open his side of the tournament.
- On the back nine, Talent added five more birdies, with just one bogey on the 13th hole, to post a five-under-par round for the native Canadian.
- In his second round, Talent logged five pars on the front nine before sinking par on all but two holes on the back nine to close out the afternoon.
- On Sunday for Talent, he posted an exceptional round of two over par, to finish even on the weekend.
- Junior Akshay Mandadapu bounced back in the second and third rounds with two even-par days, including a combined eight birdies.
- Finally, Carter Sica finished one over par after a stellar back-nine performance with two birdies and one bogey, and posted a 72 in the final round.

Head Coach Keith Prokop: "After shaking off the tournament rust in round 1, we were able to put together 2 solid rounds to climb the leaderboard. We are excited to see what is to come the rest of the semester with these young men because we have a lot of firepower, especially with Robert and Aidan being able to prove they can have elite performances on any given round."

The Jaspers trek north for their next tournament in Lake Placid on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, at Lake Placid Golf Club, to compete in the Columbia Autumn Invitational.
