BERLIN, MD – The Manhattan Jaspers Men's Golf team competed in the Iona Spring Invitational, hosted by the Gaels of Iona University at Rum Pointe Seaside Links on Friday and Saturday afternoons, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Opening the tournament with two birdies on the third hole were Akshay Mandadapu and Aidan Talent, before Mandadapu served back-to-back birdies just two holes later.
- On the front nine, Patrik Vinter and Walter Carley registered a pair of birdies on the eighth hole.
- On the back nine of the first round, Cabell Faulkner and Aidan Talent opened the 10th hole with birdies, before Akshay Mandadapu continued his reign with six pars and a birdie throughout the remainder.
- Talent and Vinter, along with Jimmy Veale, all posted birdies on the 13th hole.
- In the second round, birdies reigned supreme on the front nine, highlighted by a party on the third hole, with four of five logging birdies.
- Throughout the front nine, Mandadapu posted a birdie on the sixth hole, before Carley added a three-pointer on the sixth hole.
- On the back nine of the final round, Mandadapu, Faulner, Talent, and Carley all added at least one birdie to their ledger to round out the tournament.

The Jaspers return to action in just two days, on Monday, March 30, when the Green and White take part in the Columbia Spring Invitational at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, PA, hosted by the Lions of Columbia University.
