EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released the selections for Baseball's 2026 All-MAAC Preseason Team, which included the Jaspers' infielder
Ryan Lordier, per release on Wednesday afternoon.
"Proud of Ryan to receive this recognition," said Head Coach
Steven Rosen. "He had a great year last year, and he took his work and his preparation to another level over this past year. He's a tremendous player; he's improved certain areas of his game that we wanted to address, and he has a chip on his shoulder coming back. I'm excited to see what he does this season."
Last season, Lordier shone in his first season as a member of the Green and White, starting in all 47 games. The Millbrae, CA native posted a .329 batting average, while logging 158 at-bats for the Jaspers, and crossing the plate 39 times.
Lordier supplied the Jaspers with 20 RBIs, while swiping 16 bases, and finishing with an on-base percentage of .440.
During the campaign, Lordier registered a career-high four hits in the victory at Alcorn State to open the year. Throughout the season, he continued to shine around the diamond, with a season high of three bases swiped in the effort against Lafayette. Hit his first collegiate home run in the series win at Niagara, while concluding with two doubles against Saint Peter's down the stretch of the year.
Finally, Lordier recorded three sets of five-game hitting streaks throughout the season, the most amongst any Jasper of the roster.
Before his stint in Riverdale, Lordier began his collegiate career in the JUCO ranks at West Valley College, where he played for the Vikings for two seasons.
Lordier recorded 89 games played, crossing the plate 93 times, logging 128 hits, 21 doubles, 4 home runs, 71 RBI, and a career average of .356 throughout the two seasons in Saratoga, CA.
