ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 Preseason All-MAAC Teams, with Manhattan landing a pair on its respective First Team roster with sophomore Will Sydnor as a unanimous selection, while Devin Dinkins was also chosen, per release on Tuesday morning.

The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year took the league by storm in 2024-25 by averaging 13.9 points per game. Good for 10th in the conference. Throughout his inaugural season in Riverdale, Sydnor started in 29 games of the 30 played, while averaging 29.5 minutes per contest.

"Will has proven to be a versatile player that can play multiple positions," described head coach John Gallagher.

"His ability to score on all three levels while using his length to disrupt other teams' offenses has proven his value. We expect a big year from Will and are very fortunate that he is on our team."

Overall, Sydnor converted on 45.1 percent of his attempts from the field (156-of-346), while notching 34.8 percent from distance and capturing 49 triples in his opening campaign. The now-sophomore forward excelled on the defensive end, posting 33 blocks, which ranked fourth in the league, and adding 20 steals.

The Bronx native sat in the top 10 in rebounding, averaging 6.8 per game, landing at ninth in the MAAC at year's end, which also landed him a spot on the All-MAAC Second and All-Rookie Teams.

Sydnor joins Preseason Player of the Year Amarri Monroe and Siena's Justice Shoats as the lone trio to be named First Team unanimously.

After completing his first season in Riverdale as a transfer from George Mason, redshirt junior guard Devin Dinkins was named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team following an All-MAAC Third Team and Sixth Player of the Year award in 2024-25.

"Devin embodies everything you want in a player," says Gallagher. "He shoots it, makes the right read, and is always ready to defend. He always plays to win, and for that, he elevates everyone around him. We are grateful he is on our squad."

The Washington, D.C. native averaged 13.5 points per game, which ranked 11th in the MAAC, second behind Sydnor. He ranked atop the MAAC in free-throw percentage, averaging 87.7 percent from the line, and third from distance, posting 44%, while pacing the Green and White with 59 triples on the season.

After capturing the MAAC Sixth Player of the Year award, Dinkins becomes the first Jasper to take home the respective accolade.

Throughout the year, Dinkins played in all 31 games and started in just one against Quinnipiac in February. He would add 25 steals to his name, while logging a total of 422 points on the season.

In the 2025 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Jaspers were selected to finish fourth behind Siena, Quinnipiac, and Sacred Heart.
