Men’s Basketball Releases 2025 Non-Conference Schedule

9/12/2025 12:30:00 PM

RIVERDALE, NYManhattan Men's Basketball Head Coach John Gallagher has released his 2025 Men's Basketball non-conference schedule on Friday afternoon.

"We put together one of the most challenging nonconference schedules in the country for a reason," describes Gallagher.

The Green and White open its 2025 schedule with a visit from St. Joseph's Brooklyn before embarking on its long-awaited west coast trip beginning at USC on Sunday, November 9. This will be the program's first ever meeting against the Trojans.

After its opening game on the West Coast swing, the Jaspers continue west to the Aloha State to take on the Rainbow Warriors of the University of Hawaii – Manoa in a four team "Rainbow Classic" featuring Utah Tech, and Mississippi Valley State. The Jaspers will play two of the three inside Bankoh Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center beginning on Wednesday, November 12.

Following their return to the Mainland, the Jaspers will embark on the program's second ever journey to College Station to face Texas A&M. The first ever meeting between the two programs came on November 26, 2010, in Orlando, FL in a neutral contest.

"Playing high majors like USC and Texas A&M will test us against elite talent and show us where we stand nationally, whereas the Rainbow Classic gives us that true tournament atmosphere in November - three games in four days, which prepares us for March."

Reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year Will Sydnor and his team return home after 22 days on the road, to face the Wagner Seahawks of the Northeast Conference inside Draddy Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 26. The Jaspers took down the Seahawks on Staten Island in their most recent meeting 80-66 on December 18, 2024.

Redshirt Junior guard Devin Dinkins and Manhattan embark northbound to the on the Black Knights of the United States Military Academy just three days later on November 29. The Jaspers will then face conference foes Fairfield and Marist in the middle, before returning to non-conference play in the "Battle of the Bronx" against the Rams of Fordham University on Rose Hill on Saturday, December 13.

"The Battle of the Bronx against Fordham is always circled on our calendar because that rivalry means everything to our program and this community," describes Gallagher.

The Jaspers close out its non-conference schedule with visits from Furman on Thursday, December 18, before concluding with a visit from the Blue Hoes of Presbyterian College on Sunday, December 21.

"Furman is a proven program that can beat anybody on any given night.

"This schedule isn't about padding wins - it's about building a team that's ready for March when it matters most. We'd rather find out what we're made of early and be prepared for anything come conference play," says Gallagher.
