VERONA, NY – Manhattan Men's Golf competed in the 2025 Red Bandanna Invitational, at the Turning Stone Resort, hosted by Boston College, on Sunday and Monday morning.
ROUND ONE
- The first day in Central New York marked the inaugural competition for sophomore and Davis and Elkins transfer Aidan Talent, who put together a quality front nine, to net three over par. The back nine turned tricky for the second year, who shined on the 14th green with a birdie on the par four hole.
- Junior Cabell Faulkner opened the match with a par five birdie, before recording pars on the next four holes. Faulkner opened the back nine with a pair of birdies in the first two of three holes.
- Sophomore Louis Vandeputte struggled out of the gate but quickly bounced back with a second hole birdie on the par four. The second year logged five more pars throughout the morning.
ROUNDS TWO AND THREE
- Junior Walter Carley opened the second round with a pair of birdies in the first six holes, before adding another birdie on the 16th hole. In the third round, Carley performed exceptional by logging par throughout the first seven holes, before landing birdie on the ninth hole. He then netted birdie on hole's 11 and 13.
- For Faulkner, the junior paced the Green and White through the first three holes with one birdie and a pair of pars. Throughout the third round, Faulkner continued pacing Manhattan by netting one under par in the front nine, before securing two over on the back to close out the Red Bandanna.
- Vandeputte closed out the front nine and opened the back with a pair of birdies in the second round. In the third round for the Belgian product, Vandeputte logged one birdie on the 10th hole.

Keith Prokop: "Not our best showing on the first day, but we came back to form on Monday. We use these types of tournaments as an opportunity to expose our weaknesses, so we know how to attack the rest of the season. We look forward to getting back on track next weekend."

The Green and White are back in action on Monday and Tuesday, September 8 and 9, respectively when Manhattan competes in the SHU Fall Classic, hosted by conference foe Sacred Heart University at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT.
