LEWISBURG, PA – Manhattan Men's Golf took part in the Bucknell Invitational hosted by Bucknell University from Bucknell Golf Club on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jaspers opened its stint at Bucknell Golf Club on the right foot, with the Green and White sinking home five birdies. Two, of which, came from the club of Cabell Faulkner to close out the front nine.
- Meanwhile, it was sophomore Louis Vandeputte who bounced back after a tough first two holes, before landing either par or birdie the remainder of the front nine. On the back side for Vandeputte, he completed the first round with a birdie.
- Patrik Vinter sank home seven consecutive pars to open his round, before landing birdie on the 16th hole.
- Walter Carley began the first three holes of each side with a double bogey, before landing par the rest of the round.
- In the second round, it was Vandeputte who performed to near perfection, where he earned par in all but two holes, that were birdies.
- In the third round, Aidan Talent joined the group with a valiant effort put forth with a double digit jump that saw four birdies netted in the round.
- Vandeputte continued his surge, with a 15th hole eagle on a par five, to move him further ahead in the team leaderboard.
