EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced the 2025 Preseason All-MAAC Team on Wednesday morning. The list included a pair of Jaspers, senior midfielder
Kelly DuPree, and senior defender
Damien Blando.
"Our team is excited to kick off the 2025 season and the opportunity to compete together." Said head coach
Doug Sage. "We have been working hard to prepare for the start of our out of conference schedule this Saturday and to play in the highly competitive MAAC this spring."
DuPree, a senior midfielder from Corning, NY, is coming off a career year highlighted with All-MAAC Second Team honors. He registered 24 goals, ranking second on the team. He scored 14 assists and 90 shots with 49 on target. Throughout his career, DuPree has tallied 40 goals and 20 assists heading into his fourth year as a member of the Green and White.
Blando, a senior defender, was a vital part of the Jasper defense. The Don Bosco Prep product recorded 31 groundballs and caused 19 turnovers, good for second on last year's squad. Additionally, the Wyckoff, NJ native recorded his only goal of the 2024 campaign against VMI at Gaelic Park on April 6, 2024. All of this led to Blando receiving All-MAAC Second Team Honors alongside the aforementioned DuPree.
The defending runner-ups in last season's MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship were selected to finish fifth out of nine teams in the 2025 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, totaling 43 points.
Manhattan heads to Staten Island to face the Seahawks of Wagner College to open its 2025 campaign
on Saturday, February 1, for an 11 a.m. start. The contest can be viewed on NEC Front Row.
The 2025 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will take place
between April 27 and May 3, 2025. The six-team, single-elimination tournament will open
on Sunday, April 27, with the opening round hosted by the higher seed of each matchup. The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the highest MAAC full-member school in the field and played on Thursday, May 1, and Saturday, May 3.
