Swimming & Diving Gets Recognized on Scholar All-America Team

Riverdale, N.Y. — The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) has selected the Manhattan College men's and women's swimming and diving teams to the Scholar All-America Team. A total of 722 teams qualified based on achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Spring 2024 semester.

The women's team recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.47 for the semester while the men's team posted a 3.15 GPA. Additionally, the women's team was one of 563 teams to compile 3.30 or above.

"We are delighted to witness the amazing efforts of our swimmers and divers both in the pool and in the classroom, as demonstrated by their inclusion on the Scholar All-America Team," said Athletic Director Irma Garcia. "This is only the beginning of many more amazing accomplishments that will emerge for our Manhattan Swimming & Diving program under the leadership of Coach Brian Hansbury."

The recognition for these swimmers and divers shows the commitment to not only their competitive spirit in the athletic realm, but also to the reputation of academic excellence that Manhattan College prides itself on.

"I am proud of our student-athletes, all of whom are worthy of this impressive honor," said President Dr. Milo Riverso. "They represent Manhattan's commitment to providing a collegiate environment that nurtures student aspirations and encourages excellence in every aspect of their lives."
