Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Closes Out Dual Schedule at Iona

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Manhattan Men's and Women's Swimming continued its 2025-26 season competing against Iona over the weekend, held at the Hynes Center Pool. The men fell 190-96, while the women dropped 184-102.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • The trio of Matt Rogliano, Abelardo Cartagena, and Campbell Heiz finished one, two, and three in the 100 Yard Butterfly, with Rogliano's 57.00 time leading the way.
  • Heiz joined Ryan Carsen and Mark Haynes on the podium for the 100 Yard Individual Medley, with Haynes' winning at 1:02.16.
  • Winning the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay were Myles Brown, Jonathan Carsen, Tristan Ehrhardt, and Gavin Harding with a time of 1:29.59.
  • During the 100 Yard Backstroke, Sean Garvey finished with a finals time of 1:03.16, good enough for second place.
  • J. Carsen secured second place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, losing by only .01 seconds to the Gael victor.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • The quartet of Elle Feneide, Mary Haley, Shayna Millard, and Jaila Williamson won the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, with a finals time of 1:43.77.
  • Sophia Leber won the 100 Yard Butterfly, doing so in 1:09.14. 
  • In the 200 Yard Backstroke, Shayna Millard took home second place out of seven finalists with a finals time of 1:04.71. 
  • Williamson grabbed third in the 50 Yard Freestyle, finishing within one tenth of a second of the champion at 25.20.

The Green and White will now rest until the start of the 2026 MAAC Championships, held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio starting on Wednesday, February 11.
