New Record Headlines MAAC Swim & Dive Championships

GENEVA, Ohio - In their annual trip to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, the Manhattan Jaspers' men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed over the weekend at the SPIRE Institute. The men took home ninth place, while the women secured 12th. 

HOW IT HAPPENED ON DAY 1:
  • Sophomore Tristan Ehrhardt headlined the day with a 23.89 second split during the backstroke portion of the Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay, setting a new program record. The former record of 24.03 seconds was set in 2014 by Lance Neuendorf. 
HOW IT HAPPENED ON DAY 2:
  • Senior Jalia Williamson finished in 12th place in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle, with a time of 24.04 seconds.
  • The quartet of Jonathan Carsen, Mark Haynes, Myles Brown, and Ehrhardt finished in seventh in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, above last place Saint Peter's.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON DAY 3:
  • Williamson secured 21st place in the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke, with a finals time of 1:07.71.
  • Freshman Sean Garvey finished in 23rd in the Men's 100 Yard Breaststroke, with a finals time of 58.60. 
HOW IT HAPPENED ON DAY 4:
  • Freshman Ibrahim Mohammad came in 27th during the Men's 1650 Yard Freestyle, with a finals time of 17:17.50. 
  • Senior Elle Feneide grabbed 17th place in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle, with a finals time of 52.68 seconds.
NEXT UP:

Head Coach J. Brian Hansbury and the Jaspers will prepare for their final meet of the season, the ECAC Open Championships, starting on Thursday, February 26 and coming to a close on Saturday, February 28.
