BERLIN, CT - Manhattan wrapped up the Ryan T. Lee Memorial with a team score of 618 (+50) in the two day event. The Jaspers shot 317 (+33) on day one, and improved with a 301 (+16) in the second round Sunday. Shuttle Meadow Country Club played a Par 71 with a total distance of 6516 yards.
Leading the way today for the Jaspers was Senior Colby Norton who finished with a 152 (+10), including a 74 (+3) on Sunday. Freshmen Walter Carley and Luke O'Grady-Rodgers made immediate contributions in their first tournament as Jaspers. O'Grady-Rodgers finished with a 154 (+12), while Carley finished with a 156 (+14). All five Jaspers competing improved their scores in round two.
LIU won the tournament recording a total score of 558 (-10) throughout the two rounds. Columbia's DJ Francey took the individual title, shooting a total of 134 (-8).
The Jaspers next tournament takes place September 30-October 1, when they participate in the Columbia Autumn Invitational in Lake Placid, New York.
