RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan women's swimming and diving team finished the second day of the MAAC Championships in eighth with 73 points.
The highest prelim placement of the day for the Jaspers, which is also a new school record, was by
Abbey Mink in the 50-yard freestyle with a prelim time of 24.06 in 10th place. Mink was only .01 seconds off from taking ninth and .03 seconds from eight. Not too far behind was
Mackenzie Tuttle in 17th with a time of 24.53 in the prelims. Also placing in this event was
Kyla Guilfoil,
Jessica O'Brien,
Sophia Leber,
Kate Maio,
Juliana Saric, and Velez-Serrano.
In the B Final for the women's 50-yard freestyle, Mink placed 12th for the Jaspers with a final time of 24.13. Mink scored five points for the Jaspers.
In the 200-yard freestyle, the women placed seventh place with a final time of 1:37.08, earning the Jaspers 24 points. The team consisted of Guilfoil,
Shayna Millard, Mink, and
Mackenzie Tuttle.
The women also swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay time trial with a final time of 1:47.19. Swimming in this event for the Jaspers was
Eva Canning, Maio, O'Brien, and Leber.
