Two New Records In Freestyle As Swimming & Diving Closes Out Season At ECAC Open Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Closing out their 2025-26 campaign, the Manhattan Jaspers' men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed over the weekend at the ECAC Open Championships, hosted by Bucknell University. The women took home seventh place, while the men secured ninth. 

HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN:

• In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, the team of Abelardo Cartagena, Sean Garvey, Gavin Harding, and Tristian Ehrhardt captured a finals time of 3:32.31 to bring home eighth.
• Ehrhardt, Garvey, Harding, and Jonathan Carsen captured seventh in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.

HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN:

• Senior Elle Feneide and Jalia Williamson headlined the weekend by setting new Jasper records in the 100 and 50 Yard Freestyles, respectively. Feneide's time of 52.08 seconds set a new program record, breaking the previous set earlier this season by herself. Williamson broke a record in the same style, as her time of 23.69 seconds in the 50 Yard edition also bested her own previous mark.
• The quartet of Feneide and Williamson along with Shayna Millard and Tereza Horvatova helped the Green and White garner a sixth place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
