RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan women's swimming and diving team finished the first day of the MAAC Championship eighth on 44 points.
The women competed in a pair of events on Wednesday. The first was the 200-yard medley relay, where the women placed ninth. The team consisted of
Kyla Guilfoil,
Mackenzie Tuttle,
Abbey Mink, and
Shayna Millard. The team had a finishing time of 1:48.13, earning the Jaspers 18 points.
The second event for the women was the 800-yard freestyle. The Jaspers came home sixth with a team consisting of Mink, Guilfoil, Millard, and Tuttle. Tuttle touched the wall after 7:50.25, earning the Jaspers 26 points.
Fairfield leads the women's standings with 72 points after the first day of competition. The women continue at the MAAC Championships tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Buffalo, N.Y.
